In this class the instructors will be on the pool deck teaching swimming skills for all the strokes. The swimmers will be grouped by their ability and will go over appropriate skills for each athlete. Classes will involve a range of swimming skills including Foundations, Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly. Once athletes become proficient in each stroke/skill, we will move them onto other new challenges (while continuing to our foundational skills and strokes).
Athletes will be moved to the appropriate sub group as they become ready for the next challenge.
You must be approved by Coach Rylie to register for this group. If you are unsure if this group is right for you, email Maria Sunyak at maria@t2aquatics.com to set up an evaluation.
This group is for swimmers who have knowledge of the four competitive swimming strokes and can swim 50 yards of each stroke.
T2 Prep swimmers learn how to swim in a swim team group. We will learn about using the clock, doing turns, completing sets, and diving. This group includes participating in a swim meet designed to learn how a swim meet runs for parents and swimmers alike. Dates for participation are Tuesdays 5:30p-6:30p and Saturdays 11a-12p.
Equipment required for this group are the Arena Unisex Swim Kickboard Swimming & Training Aid (has two holes for hand placement) AND Finis Long Floating Fins (shoe size is used for ordering). This is the equipment used by T2 athletes, so your T2 Prep swimmer will take it with them to the next level.
The goal of this group is to complete a T2 Evaluation and make the year-round club team!
